Did You Know?

Washing your hands not only prevents you from getting sick, but it also reduces the risk of infecting others. If you don’t wash your hands properly before coming into contact with others, you can infect them with the germs on your hands. Other people can also get sick from the germs unwashed hands leave on shared objects like doorknobs, keyboards, and other equipment in the home or workplace

We have included two links from the Caring for Kids website and an information sheet from Canada’s Public Health that give helpful tips and further information on the importance of handwashing as we come into the Winter Season.

Umbrella Project

We have been and continue to work hard on our Character trait this month. Our students have been thinking about GRIT and how we use it to overcome challenges we face every day. Work hard, be smart, and most importantly … don’t give up. You can throw in the towel, or you can use it to wipe the sweat off your face and go on. Talk to your child about GRIT and how they have been using it to work hard at school.

G – Give it your Best

R – Redo if necessary

I – Ignore the Urge to Quit

T – Take the Time to Do it Right

Do you have Spare Yarn/Wool, Thread and /or sewing kits?

Donations of yarn/wool, thread and sewing kits would be welcome if you have anything spare at home for projects at school. As always, staff appreciate your generosity and support for our wonderful school.
