  1. Math Showcase Night

Our staff and students are eager to demonstrate the exciting and innovative math strategies, teaching and learning that have been happening at Sandhills!  Many activities are planned for the evening including demonstration lessons, sphero and coding demonstrations, math games for all ages. Learn more about Caribou math contests and math tools for learning, all through the lens of our students who have planned ‘math performances’.  Plan to visit Math Showcase Night and you could WIN a StarWars BB8 Sphero!

  1. Parking Reminders

The volume of cars dropping students off near schools can cause difficulties for all students who need to move past these cars to get to school. This is a problem in many school communities. In the interest of student safety, our municipal Bylaw officers visit schools sporadically to enforce parking rules. Designated parking areas have been optimized for safe parking; any parking outside the designated areas can be considered to be creating additional hazards for our students. Please park safely and avoid being ticketed!

Did you know?

People who walk and ride their bikes to school are happier?  A study conducted by Green Communities Canada found that students (and the parents who accompanied them) enjoyed a deeper connection to their community, nature and other people.  This connection was found to decrease stress, and to increase happiness.
