- Student Safety
Please drive with care. Thank you for being mindful of student safety during arrival and dismissal times. To ensure student safety, our parking lot attendants Mr. McPhee and Ms. Burt continue to encourage parents to refrain from using the parking lot for pick up and drop offs. We are also very grateful to our student safety patrollers who do an excellent job of helping to keep their peers safe.
Please use EXTREME caution in the back area of the parking lot when turning around. There is an area that has now been blocked off with traffic cones as drivers in this area are not able see students that are arriving and departing from school.
As well, please be reminded that according to the Smoke Free Ontario Act, smoking on school property is strictly prohibited. Simply put – no person (eg. student, parent, employee of the WRDSB) shall either hold or smoke lighted tobacco in neither a school nor anywhere on school property. An offense under this act is punishable with a fine up to $1000 for the first offense.
