January 22th, 2016 – Weekly School-Day Update

Congratulations!  We have reached 88% participation on School-Day!

A big THANK-YOU to our school community for embracing this new initiative.

 

Please remember…

  • Be sure to follow your purchase right through to receiving an order number.
  • To Make Payments: If you wish to pay cash, select the “WILL PAY CASH” button, then send exact change to the school with the order number attached. Please do not send cheques to the school.  If you wish to pay online with a credit card, select the “CHECKOUT” button and complete the purchase.
  • Field trips – be sure to give permission for your child to attend the trip AND complete the payment process all the way through to receiving an order number.

    1.  Upcoming P.A. Day

Friday January 29th is a PA day.  No school for students.  Teachers will be working on assessment and evaluation.

 

  1. Kindergarten Registration Is Open!

NEW PROCEDURE

If you child was born in 2011 or 2012, registration is available online January 22 at www.wrdsb.ca

Once you have completed the online registration, you will be required to come into the school with your child’s documentation (proof of birth) to be copied by office staff.  Appointments will be available between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm during the week of Feb 8th to Feb 12th.  Please call 519-744-4430 to book your appointment.

If your child attended another WRDSB school for JK, you must come to the school to complete a hard copy registration form.   The registration form is also available online for you to download and print.

If your child currently attends Sandhills P.S. in JK, there is no need to register for SK, as this happens automatically at the school level.

  1. Family Valentine’s Celebration

Sandhills School Council presents an evening Valentine’s Celebration for families.  Friday February 5th come to this family dance featuring Professor Jamz and the Spin Machine.  This event is open to all families from JK to Grade Six. The dance will take place from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.  The admission fee is $2 per person.

Please note that parents must remain at the school with their children.
