October is Children’s Vision Month

Most parents are unaware that up until a child turns 20, OHIP covers the cost of their annual eye exam.  That’s why Children’s Vision Month is a month dedicated to promoting eye health and eye exams to all children and their parents.

80% of learning is visual, but 1-in-4 school-aged children has a vision problem. Not to worry: junior kindergartners are entitled to one complementary pair of glasses through the Eye See…Eye Learn program.
