  1. Volunteers In The School

Volunteers are a wonderful way to promote parent and community engagement.  Thanks to all of those families who volunteer in our school or on off campus events to support staff, students and the school as a whole.  Waterloo Region District School Board policy dictates that volunteers need to submit a Police Vulnerable Sector Check to the school when they are supervising students that are NOT in the proximity of a teacher (i.e. on a field trip where they have their own group and are walking around a museum, park, etc.), or as requested by the Principal depending on the volunteer role.  Please see the office for a letter to receive a reduced fee for obtaining the Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

  1. Pizza Days

Pizza Wednesdays will begin again on October 5th.  Pizza is delivered at second break.  Place your order now on School-Day.  The deadline for orders is Friday, September 30th.  If you require assistance using or accessing School-Day to place your order, please call the office.

  1. Parking

Student safety is our priority, so please remember that at entry and dismissal times, the school parking lot is unavailable to the community, with a few exceptions due to mitigating circumstances or medical issues.  Please respect the direction of our friendly parking lot attendants Mr. McPhee and Ms. MacDonald, whose role it is to keep our students safe.  We ask that families kindly adhere to our parking lot attendants’ request not to enter/park in the school parking lot at the busiest times of the day (entry and dismissal).  Thank you to all of those families respecting the parking lot guidelines, and special thanks to all of those families choosing to walk or carpool to school.  This really helps to reduce the traffic and parking congestion.
