May 27th, 2016 – Weekly School-Day Update

May 30–June 2 EQAO for Grade Three
June 2 – Crazy Hair Day
June 10 – Last Day for Library Circulation.
June 17 – Zero Day – ALL library books due back!!
June 20 – Talent Show
June 22 – 5:00pm Opening Ceremony for the Outdoor Learning Grounds
June 22 – 5:30pm Family Fun Night (following the Outdoor Learning Grounds Opening)
June 29 – Last Day of School
- Track and Field Day
Track and Field Day will be May 31st for all grade 4, 5 & 6 students. Any events that cannot be completed in the allotted time on May 31st will happen on June 2nd. Students should be prepared for outdoor activity all day, bring additional drinking water, sunscreen and a hat.
- Are you moving?
We are busy preparing for next year. If you are moving and your child will no longer attend Sandhills, please send a note to the school office to let us know the final date of expected attendance at Sandhills and the name of the school you will be transferring to. You will need to register at the school you will be attending. Registration forms may be picked up in the office.
- Looking for a tutor?
If you are looking to hire a tutor for your student, please consider contacting Lisa Hilverda at
519-572-8515. Ms. Hilverda is a registered teacher with 20 years of experience. She is available to tutor in your home or hers. All subjects in English. Please call to discuss.
- Last day for library circulation is Friday June 10th.
