January 15th, 2016 – Weekly School-Day Update

 

    1.   Upcoming P.A. Day

Friday January 29th is a PA day.  No school for students.  Teachers will be working on assessment and evaluation.

  1. Kindergarten Registration starts soon!

NEW PROCEDURE

If you child was born in 2011 or 2012, registration starts online January 22 at www.wrdsb.ca

Once you have completed the online registration, you will be required to come into the school with your child’s documentation (proof of birth) to be copied by office staff.  Appointments will be available between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm during the week of Feb 8th to Feb 12th.  Please call 519-744-4430 to book your appointment.

If your child attended another WRDSB school for JK, you must come to the school to complete a hard copy registration form.   The registration form is also available online for you to download and print.

If your child currently attends Sandhills P.S. in JK, there is no need to register for SK, as this happens automatically at the school level.

  1. French Immersion Registration for Grade 1 for 2016-2017 School Year

Registration for Grade 1 French Immersion began on Thursday, January 7th, 2016 on the Waterloo Region District School Board website at www.wrdsb.ca/french.  If you have questions regarding WRDSB French Programs or the registration process for Grade 1 French Immersion, please call 519-570-0003 ext. 4277.

 

  1. After School Program Registration for Grades 3-6 for 2016-2017 School Year

Youth Development Programs are delivered in partnership with The Waterloo Region District School Board. The program engages and supports students through intentional programming stemming from children’s interests.

We offer full and part time care, with the flexibility to register throughout the year. Viability is open from January 22—March 31, log on to www.wrdsb.ca/beforeafter to express your interest.

 

  1. Symphony Field Trip

Don’t forget!  All primary students are going to visit the KW Symphony on Tuesday January 19th.
