January 8th, 2016 – Weekly School-Day Update

Happy New Year!

    1.  Upcoming P.A. Day

Friday January 29th is a PA day.  No school for students.  Teachers will be working on assessment and evaluation.

  1. Help With School-Day Website

There are many support options available if you need help using the School-Day portal.  During school hours feel free to call or stop in the school office for help.  Online support is available at www.school-day.com/support.  Phone support is available at 1-855-253-1731.

  1. After School Supervision

The school yard is supervised every day until 3:10pm.  The snow sliding hill is now closed from dismissal at 2:55pm until 3:10pm.  The hill is available for use by families under the supervision of a parent or guardian after 3:10pm.

Students are reminded that when dismissed at the end of the day, they are to head home promptly. If parents or caregivers are with students and choose to remain to play under parent or caregiver supervision, that is fine. The teacher on duty at the end of the day is there to ensure that all students are picked up, not to supervise after school play. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our students safe.

  1. French Immersion Registration

Registration for Grade 1 French Immersion began on Thursday, January 7th, 2016 on the Waterloo Region District School Board website at www.wrdsb.ca/french.  If you have questions regarding WRDSB French Programs or the registration process for Grade 1 French Immersion, please call
