  1. Traffic Safety

An important school safety notice was sent home with your child this week.  As a family, please review the traffic safety information and determine how your family can use active transportation to get to and from school.  We have dangerous traffic congestion around our school.  The Walking School Bus and Trailblazer programs increase the safety and fun of walking to school, find out how you can be involved.  If you must drive, check out the map for the “drive to 5” locations and make a change to show you care about the safety of our neighbourhood.

  1. Walk in their Sneakers Day

Police and Bylaw Officers are lacing up to join the walk to school.  Meet an officer at the start point or join them along the way as the crowd grows. See link for more information and a map of the route.  https://schools.wrdsb.ca/shl/files/2018/04/Sandhills-1.pdf

  1. Cobs Bread Fundraiser

The Boardwalk location of Cobs Bread will provide 10% of your purchase back to Sandhills to support our school.  Just be sure to let the cashier know that you are a Sandhills family before your purchase is complete.  Stop in to purchase a treat or any of their delicious breads and support the school at the same time! www.cobsbread.com
