  1. Happy Retirement Mrs. Rath

A new year brings new and exciting things!  First, we would like to say a very happy retirement to Mrs. Rath, who after 30 years in education is beginning a new chapter in her life.  Sandhills will miss her greatly.  She has touched the lives of so many students, families and staff. We all wish her much success and happiness as she embarks on her retirement.

  1. Staffing Updates

Sandhills would like to extend a very warm welcome to new staff.  Taking over for Mrs. Rath, will be Kim Bigelow.  Mrs. Bigelow comes to us with a lot of experience and we are very excited to have her join our family.  Ms. Jeannette Bible will not be returning in the new year as she will begin her maternity leave.  She and her husband, Matt, are expecting their first child.  We are all very excited for them both.  Ms. Jenna Haskins will step in for Ms. Bible until the end of the school year.  Ms. Haskins is eager and energetic to begin her position as our primary SERT and we feel blessed to have her join our staff.

Finally, Mrs. Cheryl Charles will be taking a leave and we are pleased to announce that Mrs. Kristin Butcher will be taking over for her.  Mrs. Butcher has been an OT in our building and is familiar with how things run, so we anticipate a very smooth transition for all of our students.
